Terms & Conditions
Important information about using our website and Groom to Pawfection grooming services.
Last updated: August 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to the Groom to Pawfection website and the grooming services provided by Groom to Pawfection.
By using this website or arranging grooming services with us, you agree to these terms where they are applicable.
Customers may also be asked to complete our New Client Registration form and agree to specific Grooming Terms before grooming services are provided.
2. Our grooming services
Groom to Pawfection provides professional dog grooming services from our private home grooming salon in Rugby, Warwickshire.
Grooming services are provided by appointment and may be tailored to the individual needs, coat condition, health, behaviour and welfare of each dog.
We reserve the right to adjust or stop a grooming service where we reasonably believe continuing would not be in the best interests of the dog or could present a safety risk.
3. Appointments
Grooming services are available by appointment only.
Customers should arrive at the agreed appointment time and collect their dog at the time agreed with Groom to Pawfection.
If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
4. Information about your dog
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information about their dog before grooming.
This includes telling us about any known medical conditions, allergies, injuries, skin conditions, behavioural concerns, previous grooming difficulties or other information that could affect the safety or welfare of the dog during grooming.
Please tell us if any relevant information changes between appointments.
5. Health, behaviour and welfare
The welfare of every dog in our care is our priority.
We may alter, pause or stop a groom if a dog becomes excessively distressed, unwell, aggressive or if we believe continuing could cause unnecessary discomfort or present a risk to the dog or groomer.
Where appropriate, we may recommend that grooming is completed over more than one appointment or that veterinary advice is obtained before further grooming.
6. Matting and coat condition
Severely matted coats may need to be clipped shorter than originally requested where this is considered the safest and most humane option for the dog.
Removing matting can reveal existing skin irritation or other conditions that were hidden beneath the coat.
We will always aim to put the welfare and comfort of the dog ahead of achieving a particular cosmetic finish.
7. Veterinary treatment and emergencies
If a dog becomes ill or is injured while in our care, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the owner using the contact information provided.
Where urgent veterinary attention is reasonably considered necessary and the owner cannot be contacted, Groom to Pawfection may seek appropriate veterinary assistance in accordance with the Grooming Terms accepted by the customer.
Veterinary costs remain the responsibility of the owner except where Groom to Pawfection is legally responsible for those costs.
8. Prices and payment
Prices may vary depending on factors such as the size of the dog, breed, coat type, coat condition, behaviour and the grooming work required.
Where a price is discussed before an appointment, it may be an estimate if the full condition of the dog or coat cannot reasonably be assessed beforehand.
If additional work is reasonably required, we will aim to discuss this with the customer where practicable.
Payment is due on collection unless otherwise agreed.
9. Photographs and social media
We will only use photographs of your dog for marketing or social media where the appropriate permission has been given.
Photo and social media permission is optional and is separate from the agreement required for grooming services.
Permission for future use may be withdrawn by contacting Groom to Pawfection.
10. Personal information
